Delayed Bag Workflow
This topic describes the overall process of managing delayed bags using WorldTracer.
Tip:
If enabled by your Coordinator, after you choose a match for a Delayed Bag File, WorldTracer guides you through the workflow to request the bag, suspend the file, and then close it.

Begins tracing to match Delayed Bag Files with Forwarded and On-Hand Bag Files, using the details entered into WorldTracer. Identifies all potential matches in the System Matches folder in the Station Inbox, with a tag match or a matching score. |
Baggage Tracing and Matching |
Agent at destination station |
Reviews and compares the system matches against the Delayed Bag File, and chooses the match. Transfers the chosen match to the Delayed Bag File. |

Suspends tracing of the Delayed Bag File. Note: A configurable option automatically suspends tracing of a Delayed Bag File when a forwarded bag matches the passenger name and bag tag number in the Delayed Bag File. If activated, you don't need to manually suspend tracing. |

Responds to the request received in the Action Messages folder of the Station Inbox. Reflights the bag as a rush bag to forward the bag to its destination. |

Notifies the passenger that their bag has been found. Note: This is done automatically if the automated messages feature is activated in WorldTracer for your airline. |
